About us

Our online community is hosted by a collaborative of passionate healthcare professionals from academic medical centers across the United States who work with cancer patients and survivors, individuals with chronic disease, and vulnerable populations. We are here for you! In recent days, many of our patients and medical colleagues have asked for vetted and trusted resources to help manage stress and anxiety in the face of these uncertain times. In response, we have created this free online platform from which to share a portfolio of thoughtfully curated, evidence-based practices for stress management and to foster wellness and a healthy lifestyle. These tools support us mind, body, and spirit. Integrating various mind-body techniques in our daily lives can enhance coping skills, promote resilience, and help us navigate the coming days with mindfulness, compassion, and presence. Let us come together, turn toward our collective experience, care for ourselves and each other, and become resources of love and support throughout the world!

How  To  Use  Our  Site

Every day, we are adding new content to this site and to our social media pages. Our team experts in mind-body and lifestyle medicine are producing and aggregating the programming - either creating it ourselves or highlighting and sharing the fantastic work of others in the field. Everything here and on our social media pages is reviewed for accuracy by our medical team before being posted. We are using our digital tools to bring you information and conversations that matter, content that will help you understand, content that will help you cope, and, in some cases, content that will help you escape. We continue daily to add more digital programs to our global online calendar. Come join us from wherever you may be in the world.

All of our content and resources are organized along the tool bar at the top of this page ... Explore it! Currently, we offer a menu of live events and recorded classes / interviews (video, mp3, and podcast formats) on yoga, mindfulness, chi gong, exercise, nutrition/cooking, breathing, and better sleep. We're translating many of our yoga and mindfulness classes to Spanish (added soon!) and will provide bi-lingual transcripts of some practices for the hearing impaired. There is also a resource page with information on mental health for providers, families, adolescent/young adults. And be sure to check out the Blog - this is where we obsessively post daily info on free, online cultural performances such as the Metropolitan Opera, National Theatre, as well as other items of interest.

Please reach out if there's anything special you'd like us to add - we've never done this before, and we are learning as we go! We're all in this together! #InThisTogether
